About the role

The future of the internet is 3D, and Sloyd is at the forefront of this revolution! We're building a user-friendly 3D creation platform powered by AI, making it faster and easier for people to create stunning 3D models for video games and virtual worlds.

As a Mid Web Full-Stack Developer at Sloyd, you'll be the mastermind behind our web stack. You'll be responsible for everything from crafting and refining APIs to seamlessly integrating new features and building intuitive user interfaces. You'll work closely with our product manager, designer, and fellow developers in our dynamic, fully remote team.

The Sloyd team is globally distributed and fully remote. You will have the flexibility to define your work hours, and given trust to find problems and solutions. You'll be expected to be proactive, collaborative, and communicative.

Sloyd tech stack goes across a few domains: 

• Web stack with based on React JS/TS and node.js, with a Unity Embed (C#) for the 3D visualization. Three.js might be in our future. 
• Geometry algorithms and graphic programing (C#)
• Machine Learning (Python++)

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web applications using a variety of technologies. You will work closely with other developers and stakeholders to ensure that the applications you build are high-quality, user-friendly, and meet the needs of our users.

1 Web Application Development

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, Node.js, and other relevant technologies.

2 API Development

• Design, build, and document RESTful APIs to support web application functionality.

3 Frontend Development

• Create responsive and engaging user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

4 Database Management

• Interact with, and build databases to store and retrieve data for web applications.

5 Collaboration and Communication

• Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with other developers, designers, and stakeholders.

6 Testing and Deployment

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and deploy web applications to production environments.

Relevant experience

• 4-8 years of relevant work experience
• A degree in CS from a leading university, work experience in a leading tech company, or both
• Ability to develop, maintain and contribute to APIs and server-side code
• Proficiency in Node.js
• Proficiency in Front End development with JS/TS and React
• Experience in implementing design systems and responsive web pages
